Hatha Yoga Poses
While you carry out the asanas, you will ideally reflect on feeling the energies within the nerves and blood vessels. Focus on body awareness and when the body has been in each position long enough to fine-tune the nerve currents and muscles. Then shift smoothly into the next asana. It's like a waltz, with deliberate, yet fluid movements. During each posture, inhale utilizing the diaphragm, not the chest muscles. Do not stretch wrecklessly or abuse the body. Flow into the poses. Don't worry if you can't perform them all perfectly. Eventually, you will discover the body becoming much more nimble and supple. Clear your mind of thoughts and release all tensions. You will be much more aware, more alive, more serene.
While there are many much more complex hatha yoga routines, these twenty-four asanas supply a balanced method for daily use. For the easy objective of quieting the mind in preparation for meditation, this is all you'll ever require. For best results, hatha yoga should be taught personally by a qualified teacher. These instructions and drawings are meant only as a rudimentary aid. For much more elaborate regimens, inquire at a recognized school specializing in hatha yoga.
The practice of hatha yoga has a spiritual purpose - to find an equilibium between physical and physic energies prior to meditation. It is not only meant to enhance our outward appearance of desirability, but to aid us in quieting our thoughts, physique and emotions so that we may become more aware, focused and shine brilliantly within.
